Armand Bayou | Wednesday Mar 23, 2011
Last week I visited Armand Bayou Nature Center in a southern suburb of Houston. Founded in 1974 ABNC is one of the largest urban wilderness preserves in the United States with 2500 acres of land. The Center has a boardwalk, four nature trails, animal displays, butterfly gardens, an 1800's farm site and bison. I am not a nature girl, but I enjoyed my day out there. It started out cloudy with a nice breeze so it wasn't too hot and the clouds parted right before I went home.
