This Week: This and That 2009
I think it is fitting to end the year with a photo that looks back at one of the biggest stories of 2009. I was in Chicago about three weeks after Michael Jackson's death and found this on one of the lampposts. Every street corner musician was playing Michael Jackson tunes and I heard conversations while walking around town about people planning their pilgrimages out to Gary, Indiana which is near Chicago.
What a year. For me personally it was filled with highs and plateaus. Not too many lows. It won't go down on record as my best year and it won't be my worst year. The highs are definitely my travel experiences. I went from traveling nowhere to going to multiple places in Texas, my first big solo trip in the US and even leaving the country for my birth country of Panama. I don't think 2010 will be quite that far reaching, but I can't wait for the day when I can lace up my travel shoes again. I do believe I have that infamous travel bug.
