National Cash Register Building | Wednesday May 25, 2011
Words can not convey how much I love this space. I'm not even sure that photos can convey what a fabulous space it is. This is the National Cash Register Building.
From the name you can guess what it was used for in the early 1900s. Today it is owned by a couple who have lovingly given it a wonderful new life. The downstairs is their law offices with a nod to the former life with that beautiful cash register. Upstairs is their home and what a home it is. They have a wonderful sense of style and taste and I loved how their artwork made the whole space feel so cohesive. They had a hard time finding someone to oversee their restoration so they did it themselves. And if the fact that their commute consists of walking downstairs, or having this beautiful space to live in isn't enough they have a fabulous rooftop space with views of the baseball stadium one one side and the downtown skyline on the other. Incredible.
Make sure to go to the Flickr set to see many more photos. I really am without words.
