This Week: Mish Mash
This week will be made up of a mish mash of photos that are in my miscellaneous folders and small photo projects I did this week. Hopefully I will be feeling better this week and can get back on track.
This is the San Jacinto Monument outside of the Houston area. It marks the location of the decisive battle for Texas Independence. It is taller than the Washington monument (because everything is bigger in Texas!).
Today marks the 3rd anniversary for my photoblog, Photine. I actually started photoblogging in September 2004, went through different designs and names and finally settled on Photine in March 2006. Photoblogging isn't for everyone, but it fits my photography life very well. I don't think it is an understatement to say that it has changed my life for the better. In case you ever wondered, I chose Photine because it is derived from the Greek word for light, is feminine and the pho lined up well with photography.

BTW: the talk from the TX Park Rangers is 'they' are planning on filling in the reflection pond. I have not confirmed this info. It'll be a shame if 'they' do.
